Shida appears once in chapter 15 of the first season sitting in an internet café in the middle of the night and writing on some sort of forums on the computer, "I'm a Child of God, any questions? I'm going to participate tomorrow [meaning he is going to meet Kamimaru at the cube]. I'm a Child of God, so do you have any questions for me?". Clearly he is proud to be what they call a Child of God. Whether he is going to participate or just says so is unknown. He is the only survivor from cube 11, along with Kuji Arisu.
